Itinerary - Annapurna Circuit Trek

Day 1

Kathmandu Arrival

Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) and transfer to the hotel at Kathmandu.

Afternoon visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Evening meet with the guide and prepare necessary gears for trekking and overnight.

Day 2

Drive from Kathmandu to Beshisahar (760m) - Chyamche(1430m)

Leaving from Kathmandu, we start our journey by surface crossing kaleidoscopic view of Himalayan kingdom Nepal. We drive along Trishuli river on Prithivi higway and the rest along Marshyangdi River. Up on reaching Beshishar we transfer to a local jeep and drive to Chyamche(1430).

Day 3

Trek to Dharapani (1860m)

Most of our trail is along the Marshyangdi River & small country side settlements & huge waterfalls. We pass through Tal to reach a very beautiful village, Dharapani, with dense settlement of Gurung community.

From Dharapani one can enjoy the three dimensional view of Mt Manaslu.

Day 4

Trek to Chame (2670m)

This is a big day. We need to climb 800m from our start point. On our trail we have a pleasant view of Mt Manaslu and beautiful village Timang Thanchwok.

Chame is the district headquarter of Manang district, here we have access to Internet phones, good restaurants, small bars & police check points.

Day 5

Trek to Pisang (3200m)

Leaving behind Chame, we continue our trail on plain surface along the dense forest area. We have easy climbing for the last one hour to reach Pisang.

Pisang has a Tibetan influences, which is reflected on the houses, dress, language & food. Upper Pisang is more beautiful compare to the lower one. From upper Pisang we can enjoy the beautiful view of Pisang peak (Very famous for peak climbing on Annapurna Region). Pisang houses some old monasteries worth visiting during evening.

Day 6

Trek to Manang (3540m)

From Pisang there ae two trails, north & the south of Marshyangdi Khola. The southern trail passes through Hogde (3420ms) and has an airstrip at an aaltitude of 325m. The southern trail has easy trail compared to the northern Trail. Both the trail end up at Mungji and continues to Bryaga and eventually leading to Manang.

The view of Gangapurna Glacier from Manang is awesome. At Manang trekkers can enjoy some shopping & good foods.

Day 7

Rest day (3540m)

Early morning we hike till 4000m to reach Gangapurna Lake. The view of Annapurna range, Gangapurna, Mt Maanaslu, Thorong peak & Paak Chule are stunning.

Day 8

Trek to Yak-Kharka (4000m)

Leaving Manang we continue the trail up to Yak-kharka, cosssing Tangkin Manang with magnificent Himalayan view.

Day 9

Trek to Thorong-La Phedi (4450m )

We continue with steep climb crossing different small peaks on side. The view on the trail is panaromic as we climb higher.

Up on reaching Thorong-La Phedi, we stay overnight.

Day 10

Trek from Thorong-La to Muktinath (3760m)

Early in the morning around 04 am we start our trek, we have big and challenging day since Thorong-La(5416m) is the world’s biggest pass. The view from here is the view over the trail, make you feel like something imaginary and a dream come true situation.

After some pictures on highest point, we stop for a cup of tea and start to descent to Muktinath. We can see beautiful Kali Gandaki valley and beautiful rivers from our trail.

Day 11

Trek to Kagbeni (2800m)

This morning we visit Muktinath temple. Muktinath temple is one of the holiest temple of Hindu Religion. People believe that they will get rid of the sins committed in past taking a bath on the holy taps on this temple.

Eventually walk down to Kagbeni, is a beautiful village with some old monasteries. Kagbeni is an entrance to Forbidden city Mustang.

Day 12

Trek to Tukuche (2590m)

After breakfast we start our trek following beautiful Kaligandki River, which is very famous for fossil. On our way we cross Ekle Bhatti & Jomsom.

Jomsom is one of the biggest residential & commercial areas at Annapurna region. There are regular flights to and from Pokhara.

Day 13

Trek to Ghasa

With an easy trail for 90 min from Tukuche we reach Marpha village. Marpha village is well known for its quality apples & the wine produced from apples. We cross through different small villages like Larjung village. We can see biggest Dhaulagiri icefall.

On our trail we pass through the deepest George in the world at Kaligandaki river.

Day 14

Trek to Tatopani

Leaving Ghasa behind we continue to Tatopani, means hot spring. On our trail we can enjoy beautiful water fall like rupse & huge rice fields & pine forests.

Evening we enjoy Natural hot spring bath.

Back to the hotel for dinner & overnight at Tatopani

Day 15

Trek to Ghorepani (2840m)

Today we have a very steep climbing till we reach Ghorepani. We will have beak at Sikha for lunch.

On our trail to Ghorepani we can enjoy a stunning view of Mt Dhaulagiri, Mt Nilgiri, Mt Annapurna and many more.

Day 16

Trek to Nayapul - drive to Pokhara

Early morning we hike to Poon hill to enjoy beautiful sunrise over the majestic Himalayan giants. Back to the lodge for breakfast and trek down to Nayapul.

Drive back to Pokhara & transfer to the hotel at Lake side. Dinner with all crew and overnight.

Day 17

Rest Day at Pokhara

Pokhara - rest day.

You can do beautiful paragliding at Pokhara on your free day, or you can do a pleasant boat ride on beautiful fewa lake.

Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu

Fly or drive back from Pokhara to Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel at Kathmandu
