Yeti Airlines to fly again after being repaired

Yeti Airlines ATR 72-500 which skidded off the runway of Tribhuwan International Airport upon landing is going come into operation after being repaired.

On 12th July, Yeti Airlines which was landing at TIA while returning from Nepalgunj skidded 100 m off the runway at the grassland due to the poor weather condition. The flight was carrying 66 passengers and they were rescued by technical and engineering teams from the Nepal Army, TIA and Yeti Airlines, among others.

The accident led to three passengers sustaining injuries as well as the temporary shut down of Nepalís only international airport Ė Kathmandu Tribhuvan (KTM). Senior Manager of Yeti Airlines said that after repairing the aircraft is done and technical examination of the aircraft is completed the aircraft will be operated again.
